My first stop was at Urban Core Shinjuku!
It was a lovely little apartment with a great view of downtown Shinjuku. I chose it due to its central location in Shinjuku and the great price which was about $40 per night when I booked (during the beginning of the pandemic so many people were cancelling and hosts were lowering prices).
Here is the Airbnb link to the listing if you'd like to stay here! I recommend it to single traveler looking for an affordable place while still having the privacy of a single room.

The closest Station was Wakamatsu Kawada, a bit of a walk to the red dot where the apartment was located. I'd recommend staying at accommodations that are as close as possible to the subway station in Tokyo.
These are a few pics I took from the Airbnb website that the owner posted. It really was as clean as the pictures presented it! Even had washing machine, bathtub, and kitchen!
Japanese like small towels and small bathrooms. Also most places don't have a dryer so you will have to hang your clothing on a clothesline if there's a balcony. It was a huge plus having a microwave and mini fridge though!
That's it for this post! Please comment or message me about places you recommend staying in Shinjuku or Tokyo!
