I was so excited to stay in this Ryukyu style home in Naha! It was such an interesting and unique accommodation with the blend of Italian and Okinawan culture felt in the accommodation (two of my heritages by the way). The name of the accommodation was La Passione. There was also a lovely breakfast served as part of the accommodation booking including toast, jams, and fruits for a vegan guy like me! If you are none vegan they have some sausage and eggs they make as well.

The owner Nagi was really friendly in communicating with me and I was graciously helped by Baldo, an immigrant to Okinawa from Brazil I believe who is now living in Okinawa with his wife.
It's a great location by the First Makishi Public Market and many other attractions of Naha. Okinawa is one of those places in Japan that is not so easy to travel without a car, so I'd recommend renting one for a few days to explore the island. The public transport wasn't too bad getting to Naha city though (only about 20 minutes or so from Naha airport.
Now the main reason why I booked this place in Naha was not only for the location but the bicycle rentals they had at the accommodation! I rented the bicycle from them for a daily rate of 800 yen or about $8 per day and I sure got my money's worth.
"The Hideout"
The next accommodation I stayed at in Okinawa was this lovely apartment located closer to Okinawa City. These pics, except the top left one, are all from the listing page. The unit was comfortable and very affordable as well! Only about $30 per night when I booked in March 2020.

Chattan Airbnb Location
I had easier access to the North side of Okinawa from this location in Chatan, but I would again recommend renting a car if you stay away from Naha city.
